What the PPP family thinks...

We had two bouncers in our house when my daughter was bouncer age, the Fisher Price Rainforest Bouncer and a different less expensive one for when we traveled to family & friends. I have to be honest, the less expensive bouncer was fine, but this bouncer was so much better.

Our daughter was a bit of a chunky monkey when she was at the bouncer stage and even though she was under the weight limit for the less expensive bouncer, it would sag and just did not seem to support her well, not the case with the Fisher Price one. The metal framing on it is most definitely composed of a much sturdier material, same for the fabric. The less expensive one was fine for when we would travel, but we just never totally felt safe with it. The less expensive one has since been sold at a garage sale and this one is being held onto, "just in case."

So besides the overall quality of the bouncer, here are a few more things we liked about it:

  • Love the lights and the waterfall effect- daughter used to be mesmerized with it

  • Love the toys- they are fun, bright colors & encourage interaction

  • Like the music & rainforest sounds- pleasant music, even when you have heard it hundred times

  • Vibrations- we had a colicky baby, so anything soothing was great.

  • 3-Point Harness- nice comfy lap pad like a car seat verses just straps on less expensive models

My daughter loved this bouncer. I used to put her in it in the bathroom when I would take a shower. She would just bounce and giggle away while I stole a few moments to get cleaned-up. It was great. Since I have been spring cleaning the house & closets and had it out to film it action for the review, she has even tried to get in it and still loves the little toys... she's now 2! I think she would sit it in now if I let her!

See it in action...

I never bought a bouncer for my baby boy, but I so wish I had! My mom has one that he uses at her house, and he loves lounging around in it to this day! At 8 months old he's almost at the weight limit, and looks kind of ridiculous in it, but it's his favorite place to relax :-) I love the Rainforest product line - we have the jumperoo, and I'm sure my son would have loved the bouncer.
