Do You Eat Out With Your Hubby Much?

The Juice Box Jungle Widget over there on the right hand side of the page is yet again bringing us a fun topic to discuss...

The poll right now is whether or not you think you and your hubby get out to dinner enough?

I'll be the first to admit my hubby and I don't get out to eat enough... heck we don't really get to do much of anything together alone. This isn't so much that we are "penny pinching parents" but more because our lives just have not permitted us much alone time for "dates."

One thing we do try to do though is at least go out for our anniversary, which is next weekend. Yes, we got married less than a week before Christmas. I have no idea what we were thinking getting married right before Christmas, guess after dating for 9 and a 1/2 years you just say "okay, lets go" ( & that's exactly what we did, hopped on a plane & went to Las Vegas)!

To top it all off our little one was born 8 days after Christmas! As you can tell, this time of year is busy for us and can be an expensive time of year with the holidays, birthdays, our anniversary & all the big home expenses that seem to fall around the end of year for us.

We have a nice evening on our anniversary and don't put a budget on the evening, but we also don't stray too far from our "penny pinching" ways. We will go out somewhere really nice, but we are sooo not above using a coupon or a Restaurant.com gift certificate for this special event!

How about you? Do you get much time to go out & eat with your hubby? Be sure to click on the poll over on the right-hand side of the page and see how your result compares to everyone else!

We usually go out to lunch, instead of dinner. It's much less expensive, we don't need a sitter, and we still get some nice time to ourselves outside the house.

Great tip! We have even just gone out to run an errands when the grandparents are over... just to have some time to actually talk to one another and not try to yell over a toddler!! :o)

Thank you so much for your comment and thank you for reading Penny Pinching Parent!
